Small Utility Makes Image Batch Resizing Fun To Do

If you occasionally need to resize an image or two, doing it in Adobe Photoshop may be fine. On the other end of the scale are web designers needing to resize or watermark tens of hundreds of photos every single month. If you are one of them, there’s nothing better than special resizer software like Batch Picture Resizer 1.8.

SoftOrbits today announces Batch Picture Resizer 1.8. As the name implies, the program lets users resize large sets of images in batch mode automatically, rather than doing it manually one image after another in a high-tech image editor like Adobe Photoshop.

The functionality of Batch Picture Resizer is not restricted only to resizing. You can use it to watermark pictures, flip, mirror and rotate images to accommodate those you took in portrait or landscape positions. In fact, the program can rotate a JPEG image automatically, provided that its file contains the camera’s data about the orientation of the image relative to the scene. It’s also possible to change the format of the images, optimize color levels, convert to grey scale and select the compression level. There are no limits on the number of files to process.

To begin the image processing, you first load in the pictures you want to resize to the SoftOrbits editor. An easy-to-use interface lets you set the parameters of processing to your specifications and apply a variety of image adjustments, such as color normalization, smart cropping, etc. Once the parameters are all set, you click Start and the program resizes the images automatically. That’s pretty much you need to do.

Batch Picture Resizer is aimed at designers who just want to resize images in batch without having to buy hi-tech photo-manipulative applications with an impressive bill to pay.

Currently, Batch Picture Resizer works with all major image formats, including JPEG, BMP, TIFF, GIF, PNG, PCX, and TGA.

Batch Picture Resizer is a cute little application that’s worth its virtual weight. You will love using it simply because it made image resizing and watermarking such fun.
